Please, I need help, we would like to have dinner at Coral Reef in Epcot after seeing Fantasmic in HS. What time should I make the ADR with out being rushed? Fantasmic shows at 6:30 that night. What is the quickest way to get there from Fantasmic? Thanks

    Hi Leonard,

    Two great choices!

Fantasmic is approximately a twenty five minute show which means the show will end just around 7pm. The theatre is quite large and seats a number of guests so it often takes a little while to exit the theatre and head to the park turnstiles. I would figure at least fifteen minutes to get out of the park. Once outside the park, there is a boat to your left that will take you to the three Epcot resort stops (Dolphin/Swan, Beach/Yacht and Boardwalk) before continuing on to the World Showcase entrance to Epcot. The boat while fun and relaxing, is quite slow given the number of stops it makes. It can at times take forty five minutes to reach Epcot.

There is also a Disney bus which runs from Hollywood Studios to Epcot, and can be quite faster, if you time it right and are able to catch one upon your exit from Hollywood Studios. They run around every twenty minutes and the bus ride is approximately ten to fifteen minutes. The Epcot buses can be quite popular at the end of the evening though so be prepared.

The quickest option, if you are up for a walk, is to walk along the path that goes past the Disney buses and follows the pond that the boat travels towards the Boardwalk Resort. This path will lead you past the Boardwalk resort and to the back World Showcase Epcot entrance. Depending on how fast you walk, it may take twenty to thirty minutes to travel from park to park.

Don't forget to allow time to pass through security and the turnstiles plus walk to the restaraunt located next to the Living Seas. Given this entire formula of show duration, crowds, transportation and park re-entry, I would not plan a reservation any earlier than 8:15.

Now once you do get there, be sure to try the lobster bisque and save room for the Chocolate Wave-two of our must have's. Enjoy!
