Hi Laura,
Thanks for visiting planDisney with another planning question. Your Disney World vacation is nearly here so let’s get right to it!
One of the perks my family loves most about being onsite Guests is using Walt Disney World Transportation to travel from one place to another within
Walt Disney World Resort. Depending on where Guests are heading, they can hop on an air-conditioned bus, sail through the sky on the
Disney Skyliner, whizz along on the
Disney Monorail or enjoy the breeze aboard Disney Watercraft.
Guests staying at
Disney’s Old Key West Resort can travel to
Disney Springs by bus or enjoy a Sassagoula River Cruise that drops Guests off at Disney Springs Marketplace. I stayed at Old Key West Resort last month for
runDisney’s Springtime Surprise weekend and at the time, the boats were out of service while the docks behind the Hospitality House were being worked on. I’m happy to report that the boats to Disney Springs are back in operation! A reminder: the watercraft routes are weather-dependent so if the forecast looks iffy, it’s a good idea to have a backup plan in place.
I like to keep the
My Disney Experience app handy and often check to see how long transportation options will take. To check routes, open the app and click on the search icon at the bottom of the screen. Enter your destination and then once selected, click “Get Directions”. This populate your transportation options as well as the amount of time each will take. It’s super helpful when planning your day!
I hope you have a fantastic stay at Walt Disney World, Laura. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to swing by
planDisney again!
Enjoy making magical memories,
Candace
