Hi Hayley,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for asking us a question!
One of my favourite parts about a Disney Cruise Line voyage is the sheer variety of things to do onboard and, of course, the fabulous theme nights. I also appreciate the flexibility associated with their formal and semi-formal nights. There have been cruises where we’ve been absolutely dressed to the nines, especially because we wanted to take some great family photos with the onboard photography team, but there have been others where, while we still tried to look polished, we took a more relaxed approach.
The answer to your question depends on the length of your
Disney Dream cruise and your itinerary. If it’s a 7-night cruise, the “optional dress-up” nights are on Day 2 (Formal) and Day 5 (Semi-Formal) and
Pirate Night should be on Day 3. This information is always subject to change, and some shorter cruises may not have a Formal night, so be sure to check your sailing’s schedule when you board on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. In addition, if you’re cruising
Northern Europe with the Disney Dream, you may not have a Pirate Night but instead a
Frozen Deck Party for a flurry of cool festivities onboard.
I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect Disney holiday. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
