Hey Howdy Hey, Valerie!
Welcome back to planDisney! I can tell we'd be good friends, because I also love resort hopping to check out the unique offerings at each property - especially some of the amazing restaurants that are easy to miss if you're not staying at a particular resort.
Valerie, I think this sounds like a great plan, but I'd suggest one minor tweak. When you finish at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I'd recommend taking a bus to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and then take the
Disney Skyliner to
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort before continuing over to
Disney's Riveria Resort. Bus transportation from Animal Kingdom Lodge to
EPCOT would take you to the main entrance, while the Skyliner is located in the back of the park at the International Gateway. To get to the Skyliner from the main entrance would require a
theme park ticket for that day. The bus stop for Hollywood Studios is right near the Skyliner station for the park, and your first stop after departing Hollywood Studios will be Caribbean Beach Resort. From Caribbean Beach you can either walk or take the Skyliner over to the Riviera.
If you have some extra time at the end of this resort hopping itinerary, you could continue to take the Skyliner from the Riviera to the EPCOT station. From here, you can easily walk to
Disney's Beach Club Resort,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and
Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Yacht Club is actually home to one of my favorite "hidden gem" dinners at Walt Disney World -
Ale & Compass Restaurant. From any of these resort hotels, you can take a bus to
Disney Springs and then boat transportation back to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.
I hope this information has been helpful, Valerie, and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort
this summer! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Cheers!
Kristi
