Hi! Can you please let me know if there is a closing date for Rock N Roller coaster? I really want to go back on it before they change it to the Muppets and it probably won’t be until mid September when I go to Disneyworld!

    Hello! Welcome to planDisney!

With so many additions and changes coming to the Walt Disney World Resort over the coming years, many Guests are eager to get back before some of their favorite experiences change hands. With Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith being rethemed to the Muppets, this attraction will look a bit different once it is changed.

Unfortunately, there is no timetable for when this version of the attraction will close and work on the retheme will take place. You may come across some speculation or rumors about the impending closure, but until Walt Disney World makes an official announcement, these guesses are as good as any. Your best bet will be to follow along with the Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements.

Muppet*Vision 3D is set to close early next month and make way for a new area themed after the classic Disney movie, Monsters, Inc. There is expected to be a suspended coaster, which will be the first one at a Disney Park. While I'll be sad to see this area change hands, I am excited for the new experiences coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

I hope you get your wish and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is still operating when you arrive. It would be great to jam out with Aerosmith one last time!

    See ya real soon!
