Hi, there!
A warm welcome back to planDisney, Gina. We just love when you stop by! You've been visiting planDisney for over a decade now, and we appreciate the many opportunities we've had to help you plan your next Disney vacation.
I've been visiting the Walt Disney World Resort my entire life, and my fondest and earliest memories of my family's Disney vacations involve The Main Street Electrical Parade in
Magic Kingdom Park. I vividly recall sitting on the curb of Main Street, U.S.A. as a little girl, and watching in wonder as the lights dimmed and the music swelled just before the parade started to come down the street. It was so magical! While there is no longer a nighttime parade in Magic Kingdom Park, Guests can enjoy
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, a celebration of the magic of Disney storytelling. I have a few favorite spots throughout the park to watch this must-see afternoon parade. One is on Main Street, U.S.A. in front of the Emporium. This viewing spot feels nostalgic to me and as an added bonus, it's the shaded side of the street at performance time! This spot is usually quite crowded, though. Another one of my favorite locations is near the end of Main Street, U.S.A. in Town Square. If you can find a seat on the curb of the center hub there, you'll have an incredible view of the parade coming towards you with Cinderella Castle in the distance. Just lovely! Now, my family's absolute favorite parade viewing location is somewhat of a secret - we don't usually share this tidbit! We like to head to Liberty Square to watch Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. There's a popcorn and snack cart just to the right of the Liberty Bell replica and usually, there's a parade rope set up at the end of the cart and connected to the garden railing around the bend. This roped off area creates just the right amount of private space for my family of five to view the parade. Shhh - don't tell!
Need a recommendation for viewing
Happily Ever After too? I always liked to be closer to Casey's Corner to view this nighttime spectacular, but now that the show has been updated to include projections along Main Street, U.S.A., my family and I like to stand between the Emporium and Main Street Confectionary. This location gives us incredible views of the projections and gets us ahead of the crowd to exit when the show is over!
I hope this was helpful, Gina. Please let us know if you have any other questions! As always, we'd love to help you plan your next magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
