Please help, I have not been to disney in 18 yrs. We are staying with family off site so cannot get early access to the park. we will only be visiting Mk for 1day. Kids range ages 10-21 yrs. of age. How can we make the most out of 1 day. Thank you

    Hi Angelica!

How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World in 18 years!  You will be happy to know that there are many new exciting attractions and shows to experience at Magic Kingdom Park. Rest assured, I have also stayed off-site on a day that we visited Magic Kingdom Park, and my family of six experienced everything on our "must do" list.

I highly recommend booking FastPass+ experiences in advance. Guests staying off-site can book 3 FastPass+ selections up to 30 days prior to their theme park visit. You will need to purchase your 1-Day Ticket to Magic Kingdom Park prior to booking FastPass+ selections. Follow this link to learn more about Disney FastPass+ service

Be sure to arrive at Magic Kingdom Park at least 15-20 minutes prior to regular park opening in order to go through the bag check area and touch point entry system. Be sure to pick up a Park Map and Times Guide when entering the park for easier park touring and up to date Character Greeting, Dining, Show and Attraction times. My family likes to tour Magic Kingdom Park by "lands," always starting in Fantasyland. We find that we are able to maximize our time and decrease the amount of unnecessary walking when we have a park touring strategy. During your visit, don't miss the amazing Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and Wishes nighttime spectacular.

I hope this information is helpful. Please don't hesitate to visit me again if I can be of further assistance. Best wishes for a magical trip!

    Happy Planning,
