Please help, 6wks to go and we're spending 14 nights at GF with the DDP inc. how much money do we need to bring in $, with tipping & spending in parks. We will only be out of the WDW parks for 2 of the 14 days as we'll be at DiscoveryCove & Seaworl

    Hi, Lyndsey!

Every family has different spending habits, but here are some guidelines:

-$20 per day for meal tips
-$3 per day for tipping housekeeping
-$20 per day for extra water bottles or Mickey Ice Cream bars (if you use up your snack credits)
-$100 for trip souvenirs for the trip
-$20 extra tipping for bell services, baggage handlers
-$100 for extra meals not included in your plan

To be safe, I would plan on about $800 -$1000 with a 14 day trip.  This may be way more than you need, but this will make sure you are not cut short.  There is a safe in your room to keep your cash and valuables, and you can take out money as needed.   Anything left over you can put into a jar at home to start saving for your next magical Walt Disney World vacation!  Have a great time on your holiday.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
