Hi! Can you please help me with transportation from the Art of Animation to Animal Kingdom? Would you recommend riding the bus or driving ourselves if we want to get there for early entry? How early should we get in line for the bus? Thanks!

Welcome to planDisney, Lindsey! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. It sounds like you have an exciting day planned at Animal Kingdom and I'm happy to help you figure out the best way to get there bright and early.

The Disney bus transportation system is the easiest and most convenient way to travel from Art of Animation to Animal Kingdom. Buses start running about 45 minutes before Early Park Entry, so if Early Entry is at 7:30 AM, buses should begin arriving around 6:45 AM. I recommend getting to the bus stop at least 45 to 60 minutes before Early Entry starts if you want to catch one of the first buses and have plenty of time to get through security and enter the park. The ride itself takes about 15 minutes, and buses come frequently at that time of the morning.

If you prefer to drive yourselves, that's also a great option! Parking at Animal Kingdom is free for Disney Resort Hotel guests, and there is a parking lot tram to get you from your parking spot to the front gates. If you go this route, plan to arrive around 45 minutes before Early Entry begins to allow time for parking, security, and getting to the entrance. Either way, you'll be set up for an amazing early start to your day!

    Have a wild time, Lindsey!
