Please help me select which park to choose for the 2 days I'm visiting. Which park has fireworks or an evening show on Dec 20? I want to select that park for that day because the next day I will visit the other park but have to leave in the afternoon.

    Welcome to planDisney, Carolyn!

I can’t even contain my excitement after seeing that you will be visiting The Happiest Place on Earth during the most magical time of the year! The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are one of my most favorite times to visit. I just love everything about it! The lights, the festive treats, and all the merchandise are a few of my favorite things. I even bought myself themed Crocs just to wear during the merry season.

When it comes to choosing which park to visit, I feel like it's a matter of preference. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always chosen to end my trip at the Disneyland Resort. There’s nothing better than seeing Sleeping Beauty Castle glowing in the distance as I walk away ready to book my next visit. Since you only have one night in the parks, I would choose Disneyland as my full day and Disney California Adventure Park as my half-day.

Both parks will be all dressed up in their Holiday attire, (wreaths, lights, decorations), so if that’s your deciding factor, any park you choose will be practically perfect in every way. Park hours and the entertainment schedule for your dates are not yet available so there’s no telling if anything will “light up the night”,  just yet. From my experience though, you won’t want to miss the evening holiday magic that has been seen at Disneyland. Of course, every year is different and this is the first holiday season the parks will be back open since the temporary closure. With that being said, I would plan Disneyland as my full day and Disney California Adventure Park as my half-day. Of course, you can switch up your days based on your preference once the park hours are released.

Carolyn, I hope this helps answer your question. Enjoy your visit and please be sure to let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.
