Oh my goodness Kathy! Your day at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park sounds practically perfect in every way!
We recently enjoyed the
Water Parks with a group of ten and it was so much fun!
To begin, there are oodles of great spots where your hubby can hang out and enjoy the day. I recommend you arrive at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park at park opening to ensure you have the best selection of spots.
Friend and fellow Panelist, Mona Leigh, introduced me to the Polar Patios. A Polar Patio will only accommodate six Guests in your party but it will be a great spot for your husband. The remaining members of your party can find a nice spot nearby. The Polar Patios are available to rent and offer amenities including towels, cushioned seating, a locker, refillable drink mugs, a cooler stocked with ice and bottled water, and an attendant to help with food and beverage orders (separate dining charges will apply). They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like more information, give a Cast Member a call at (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. You can also inquire about same-day availability at Beach Haus upon arrival. Water park admission is required for all Guests.
One tip I will also give you is to be sure to try the
Mini Donuts! They are a fan favorite and can be found near
Lottawatta Lodge.
When selecting attractions, it will happen naturally. We typically find our spot, get settled, and then select our first attraction. From there, we usually just travel from attraction to attraction enjoying each one as we come upon it. When someone in our party wants to do a different attraction, we simply split into different groups and then meet up later. We find the lines to be much shorter in the morning so this is another great reason to arrive at park opening.
One final recommendation - be sure you are wearing water shoes. The pavement can get hot. On our last trip, my son and I both had water shoes and were perfectly comfortable. My husband and daughter both decided they didn't need them. A few hours into the day, they were at
Beach Haus buying water shoes.
It looks like you may already be at
Walt Disney World Resort. Enjoy every moment of the magic and have oodles of frosty fun at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park!
