Hi Eamon, and welcome to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place! Planning a vacation that’s just a few weeks away is extra magical, but we need to get these plans in the fast lane since there is no time to spare. Let’s get right to it!
Since your trip is just around the corner and you’re visiting during a very popular time of the year, availability is going to be a bit more limited. The good news is that I just did a search for
Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms, and you still have some wonderful options to choose from.
For rooms with a king bed, I recommend you consider one of the following:
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort - This is a Value resort, which means you’ll get the best pricing and still all of the Disney magic! The resort features larger-than-life icons of Disney films, which means tons of fun photo opportunities as you explore each of the themed areas. The rooms come with either two queen beds or one king. While you will not have the option to specifically reserve a king room, you can
call to speak with a friendly Cast Member who can put in a request for you. Requests are not guaranteed, but Cast Members at the resort will do their best to fulfill them based upon availability.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa - As one of Walt Disney World’s Deluxe Villa resorts, these rooms provide both luxury and the comforts of home. Although you said you won't need a kitchenette, a 1-bedroom villa would come with the king bed you’re looking for. These villas include a full kitchen, living room, dining area, master bedroom with a king bed, and a washer/dryer combo. Saratoga Springs is also located near
Disney Springs with boat transportation available directly from the resort. You can take a quick and leisurely boat ride over for lunch or dinner and shopping. It’s a truly lovely resort and one of my favorites at Walt Disney World!
Other resort hotels also offer rooms with king beds, including the Moderate resorts. Although I do not currently see availability for rooms with king beds, there are still plenty with queens. I recommend checking out
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. I was there just last week, and it is absolutely charming in every way. I can't recommend this resort enough! If you're willing to consider a queen bed rather than a king, it would be a fantastic choice.
Availability can change, so be sure to check online when you are ready to make your reservation or you can call to speak with a Cast Member who can let you know what is available at that time. Also be sure to check out the
special offers currently available. There is an offer right now that may apply to your visit for
up to 20% off resort hotel rooms this holiday season.
Eamon, I hope this gives you some great options for where to stay during your upcoming visit!
