Please Help! We are overwhelmed and intimidated. We are going to DW from 4/20 to 4/27. We have a 9, 8, and two 5 year old. Staying at the A of A and have meal plan and tickets to a park/day. No idea how to build an itinerary or what to do when, eat etc.

Hello Brian! got this! You have the basics of a great trip in place, and now my favorite part of a Disney vacation can indeed start- the planning! I would begin by choosing which parks on which days so you can get those FastPass+ selections made when they become available 60 days before your first park day. Next, if you have the regular Disney Dining Plan, you will want to see if any of your top dining locations have availability during your stay. Reservations can be made 180 days in advance, so some locations may no longer have availability.  With the age of your kids I would recommend a late breakfast at The Crystal Palace if possible.

Whew! Once that is complete, I would recommend heading over to These great folks know itinerary planning inside out. For a small fee, you can build a personalized itinerary for each day to reduce your time in line and help organize your days. They also have extensive reviews of dining locations and attractions.

And, of course, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your other questions (I am sure you will have some).  We love to help!

    See ya real soon,

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
