Please help. What is your opinion of Humunga Kowabunga @ Typhoon Lagoon. Sounds scary (dark ride, fast). If DD8 (49")did Tower of Terror and Space Mt. (and loved them) is this water park ride o.k.? Do I (chicken) have to go with her or can she go alone?

    Hi Jana,

The Humunga Kowabunga is definitely a thrill. I just sought the input of 2 of my children who rode it. One of my sons was 8 at the time, and I had to drag them away after 3 consecutive rides down because their little sisters wanted the chance to ride something too. They said If your daughter loved Tower of Terror, then "she'll definitely love Humunga Kowabunga". As far as the darkness, it is in the middle part of the slide. My sons said she'll probably shut her eyes anyway, so it won't matter. ;) It's a single rider attraction, so you can use that as an "out" to not go with her. However, my boys did point out that there are 3 slides side-by-side so if you are feeling particularly brave that day, you can race her down to the bottom.

Hope this helps and that your little dare-devil has a blast,
