Hello. Please help. I am looking at planning my first trip to WDW. I have a 3 and a 12 yr old. We are thinking about making this mid Feb for my 3 yr olds birthday. Since I have zero experience - all advise requested. How is our timing? Busy time?

February is widely considered a great time to visit Walt Disney World.  The exception to that would be the weekend before and the week immediately following President's Day.  If by "mid-February" you are referring to that time frame, you should go expecting heavy crowds.    The first two weeks and the last week of February, though, are ideal times to visit, if you're looking to avoid crowds.  February also is a great time of the year weather-wise in Orlando.  While it can be cold, many people prefer that to the heat and humidity of the summer months.

I hope your little princess has a magical birthday!  Be sure to check in to the different option available for those celebrating a birthday during a 2009 visit.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
