Please Help! First timers!! I'm planning a spring break 7 day trip for family of 4 (ages 3 & 7 Boys) & I'm having a real hard time deciding what resort to stay in. Affordable but nice for my children. Thanks

    Hi Valeria!

Let me assure you that your boys will enjoy whatever Walt Disney World Resort you select.  Sure, some are better than others in terms of more services, amenities, theming, and location, but your boys will be happy just to be at Walt Disney World!

My favorite Disney Deluxe Resort is the Wilderness Lodge.  I love its theming and I like taking a boat to and from the Magic Kingdom.  My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I also love its theming, it's nice pool area, and the fact that it offers boat service to Downtown Disney; it's very fun and relaxing riding the boat at night to Downtown Disney.  My favorite Disney Value Resort is currently Pop Century.  It has the best food court on property and I love the fact that it only has one bus stop area and it doesn't share buses with any other resorts.  However, the new Art of Animation Resort sounds awesome and that might replace Pop Century as my favorite somewhere down the road!

If you won't be spending too much time at your resort, then just go with a Disney Value Resort.  If you think you want to spend a whole day (or more) relaxing at your resort, then consider a Disney Deluxe Resort.  With young boys, you might be spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom monorail resorts provide you with easy access to your room for an afternoon break, etc.

I hope this helps!  Give it some thought and write back with more questions!  I have two boys ages 12 and 7, and they have gone to Walt Disney World every year since they were babies!
