Hi Sally,
Welcome to planDisney! It’s great to assist a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member with a question about Membership perks. I love chatting about benefits of being a Disney Vacation Club Member and access to Member Lounges is a great one! My family loves visiting
Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and taking in the incredible views of Magic Kingdom Park and Seven Seas Lagoon. My daughters prefer watching Happily Ever After here after a busy day at Magic Kingdom Park; they feel it’s less busy and while they can’t see the projections on Cinderella Castle clearly, the atmosphere and seeing the fireworks from above win in their eyes. The music is piped in so you don’t miss out on the heart-swelling soundtrack that accompanies the impressive pyrotechnics.
Sally, when it comes to reservations, you’ll be happy to hear that they are not needed at the Top of the World Lounge. When you arrive at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, head to the elevators and be prepared to show your DVC Digital Membership Card and a piece of ID to check-in. Access to the lounge is on a first-come, first-served basis so if it is a busy evening, you might be added to a waitlist. If you’re heading to the lounge only to view the fireworks, you can let the Cast Member know at check-in and you can stay on the observation deck.
To ensure a spot in the Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair, Guests can book a spot at Wicked Wind Down. A reservation for the Wicked Wind Down includes a cocktail and appetizer plus access to a reserved viewing area that gives great views of the nighttime spectacular. If you’d like to book the Wicked Wind Down, you can reserve up to 60-days in advance by phoning
Member Services.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Sally. I hope you have a wonderful trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please revisit
planDisney if you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions.
Welcome Home,
Candace
