Can you please give me your ideas for the best character dining experience for a 7 year old, 2 year old, and 1 year old? The toddlers can't sit still for very long! Thank you so much!

Hi Jennifer!    There are several character dining experiences that come to mind for restless little toddlers.

Chef Mickey's, Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, and Cape May Cafe offer buffet style dining which means you can regulate how quickly you want to eat and when to leave.  In my experience,  these restaurants have the characters coming to the tables rather quickly so you can easily see them all, have a good meal, and leave before the restlessness sets in.

Mickey's Backyard Barbecue actually asks the children to come and join the characters for line dancing lessons during the evening. Ohanas as well is often including some interactive games with the meal which means the kids can get out of their seats.

Each of the dining experiences offer different characters and although these might change on a day to day basis you can get a good idea of who will be at the restaurant.  This might actually make the decision for you because your children might have a "must see" character that they will enjoy.  To read about the various dining choices, click HERE.  Near the bottom of that page you will see a category saying "Dining Experience".  Click on that and then click on "Character Dining" and the list will be shown for you to review.

Remember all dining reservations can be made up to 90 days out from your reservation.  407-939-3463.
