Can you please give me an ideal itinerary for doing 2 mornings at Magic Kingdom with a 4 and 6 year old? I am not sure which rides to request fast passes for and in what order to do the rides, that makes logistic sense. Thanks so much!

    Hi Tana,

One of my favorite parts of vacation planning is making daily itineraries! Since I don't know your children's genders or interests (Are they adventure seekers? Princesses-in-training?), some of the best advice I can give you is to recommend a site called Touring Plans. This site is an unofficial Disney fan site dedicated to offering touring plans for many different types of vacationers. There is a small fee to access most of the plans, but it is well worth it in my opinion and I subscribe myself. They have a variety of touring plans to choose from and you can choose one that best describes your family or even create a personalized one.

When taking my children of this age range to the Magic Kingdom for two days, I would first make sure we were at the park entrance at least half an hour before the posted opening time. I find we don't need to use FastPass+ selection for the first 2 hours of the day when the lines are shortest. Therefore I usually head to the most popular attractions on our list and proceed from there until our first FastPass+ time approximately 2 or 3 hours into our day. With children of your age range, you can be sure to find a lot of fun by starting in Fantasyland and New Fantasyland. Below are some very popular attractions that I recommend trying to secure a FastPass+ selection if it interests your children:
    • Meet Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall
    • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
    • Peter Pan's Flight
    • Splash Mountain
    • Big Thunder Mountain
    • Enchanted Tales With Belle

If you cannot secure a FastPass+ selection for the above attractions don't worry, just choose some others and use the standby lines for your favorites early in your day before the lines become long.

    Have a MAGICAL day!
