Happy Holidays, Maria! Welcome to planDisney!
Even though all the gifts have been unwrapped and Santa is on vacation until next year, I'm so happy to see that you still have the Christmas spirit! And you can expect some of that spirit to linger at the Walt Disney World Resort, too. Let's chat about where you can catch the last twinkle of holiday lights at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
The only theme park that has posted the dates that the holidays will officially end is EPCOT, where the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is scheduled to come to a close on December 30. For the other parks, we can only go by what Disney has done in the past. Typically, the Magic Kingdom Park keeps the Christmas decorations up into January to give the runners in the
Walt Disney World Marathon a taste of the holidays as they race through the park. Next year's event is January 5-9, 2022, so I'd expect the holiday décor to remain until then. At
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, I've personally seen some of the decorations remain until the second week of January as well, although most of the special holiday events like Sunset Seasons Greetings will have wrapped up for the year.
As for Disney Springs,
the website notes that Guests can enjoy holiday fun through December 30, so it does appear that Christmas decorations may be down by the time you visit. But don't let that keep you from enjoying a day at Disney Springs! Each store has its own schedule, so you never know what holiday pixie dust you may find!
I hope this helps you keep the Christmas spirit going a little while longer, Maria! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and I wish you all the best this holiday season!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
