Can you please explain Use Year- does it roll forward or backward? For example, if I have 300 points for Use Year June 2015, do those points expire May 31, 2016 or do I have to use those points by June 2015

Hi Jonas! Congratulations on being a Disney Vacation Club member. I know it can be a bit confusing at first, but you'll soon get the hang of it and be your own planning pro.

Your Use Year marks the time each year when you receive a new allotment of Vacation Points. Your Use Year rolls forward, so if your receive 300 points for your June 2015 Use Year, you have until May 31, 2016 to use those points.

With your Disney Vacation Club you have the flexibility to bank and or borrow vacation points as you need for your perfect Disney vacation.  So if you're planning a vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line or Adventures by Disney, you can bank your Vacation Points during the first 8 months of your current Use Year and then borrow up to 100% of your allotted vacation points from the next succeeding use year to secure a reservation in the immediately preceding (current) use year. Just remember no more than three years of points can be combined at any one time - banked, current and borrowed.

There's a thorough explanation of how to manage your vacation points on the member site under the "My Membership" tab.

I hope that helps answer your question, and wish you happy vacation planning.
