Hi Jacalyn!
Each of the parks at the
Walt Disney World Resort has its own unique pixie dust to experience, and that includes both
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! Of course, the Walt Disney World Resort wants every Guest to be able to experience the magic, including
Guests with Disabilities.
Luckily, special wheelchairs are available at both of the water parks. These wheelchairs are free of charge, but remember, since there are limited quantities available and they are first come, first served, they are subject to availability. If you are able to borrow a wheelchair, you will be able to keep the wheelchair for the length of your stay in the water park, but you will need to return it before exiting the water park. Valid ID is required to borrow one of these wheelchairs, and a Cast Member informed me that they are available at a stand to the right after entering either water park. If you have trouble finding the location, any Cast Member will be able to point you in the right direction!
Make sure you check out this helpful information about
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities, and if you have any questions or concerns about your visit to the water parks or any other part of your magical vacation, feel free to contact the Cast Members at Disability Services directly by calling them at 407-560-2547 or by emailing them at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
