Can you please explain how "rotational dining" on the Disney Wish works? Also the difference between the adult dining options and the main dining?

    Ahoy Maylin,

How exciting to be sailing on Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Disney Wish. You are asking about one of my favorite things to do on a Disney cruise - enjoying the amazing fare! I am happy to talk you through rotational dining, as well as how you can also enjoy the adult-exclusive restaurants onboard.

The Disney Wish has three rotational dining locations. These are 1923, an amazing and elegant venue, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, which offers Norwegian-inspired fare along with a show and performances of some favorite Frozen songs, and Worlds of Marvel, which includes new and classic clips of Marvel characters and some very cool Marvel-inspired dishes. You will be assigned to one of these venues each night of your cruise. On your first night, you will meet your serving team. This team will rotate with you through your dinners. This means that your serving team gets to know you and your food preferences early in the cruise and then is with you throughout!

With rotational dining, there is an early dining seating and a late dining seating. You can request which of these you would like when booking your cruise. For the early dining seating, you would be able to see the Broadway-style shows after your dining. For those in the later dining, you can see the show before you dine. The shows are offered twice nightly!

Along with the rotational dining options, as you mention, there are adult-exclusive dining locations on the Disney Cruise Line ships. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to dine at these locations, and they do come with an upcharge for meals experienced there. On the Disney Wish, these adult-exclusive dining locations are Palo Steakhouse, which has Italian and steakhouse inspirations, as well as Enchanté, which offers elevated French cuisine with a subtle theme of Beauty and the Beast.

The adults-only restaurants are amazing and I recommend trying them out if you can. There are some options for doing this. You can book these restaurants for brunch, which means that they will not impact your rotational dining dinners. This is my favorite way to experience these restaurants! The adults-only restaurants can also can be booked for dinner; however, you would likely skip the rotational dining location that night. If you are on a cruise that is longer than three nights, you can time this so it is at the dining location that you would experience twice. If you are on a three-night sailing and find that you will miss one of the rotational dining locations that you wish to enjoy, do not fret! The rotational dining locations are alternately open for breakfast and lunch service. You can check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for which locations are open each day of your cruise.

The adult dining experiences are very popular. I suggest that you book these as soon as you are able to either at the Disney Cruise Line website or using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.

I would love to help you plan more Maylin; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please feel free to sail on back to planDisney with any further questions!
