    Please explain to me about the Disney Bands ? we have a family of 14 coming in Oct,2014,do we have to get them?

    Hi Patricia,

    The MagicBands are a new amenity offered to pre-selected Guests visiting Walt Disney World and staying at a Walt Disney World resort. This is the the next step up from the Disney Key To The World cards that were offered to Guests in the past. MagicBands are a great system: you can open your room, deduct from your Disney Dining Plan, purchase souvenirs and enter the parks just with a tap of your wrist. Plus, they're waterproof! At this time, if a guest would rather have the original Key To The World card instead of the new MagicBand, you can request them from Guest Services. You don't have to have them on your upcoming trip, but I have to admit, they really are such a great addition to the Walt Disney World vacation experience.
