Hello- can you please explain the difference between animal kingdom lodge value and standard 1 bedroom villas? Thank you ☺️

Welcome to planDisney, Kate! Thanks for sharing your question with us!

I’m thrilled to answer your question because I absolutely love Animal Kingdom Lodge. Its stunning architecture, beautiful decor, delicious dining options, and wonderful views of the savanna make it one of the most unique hotels in all of Walt Disney World.

While the photos and floor plans on the Walt Disney World website appear to be similar, the value 1-bedroom villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge are slightly smaller than the standard 1-bedroom villas, sleeping 4 people instead of 5. It also seems that the value 1-bedroom villas are more limited in their view options. It lists just landscape or parking areas listed as options, and not resort or savanna views.

If you have other questions about the various rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge or need assistance making a reservation, don’t hesitate to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to lend a hand!

As I mentioned, Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to some amazing restaurants. Whether you decide to stay at this Walt Disney World Resort hotel or choose a different option, it’s worth making the trek over for a meal at Boma, Sanaa, or Jiko. And, truthfully, the Jerk BBQ Chicken Strips with Pineapple Salsa found at the Mara are some of the best chicken strips on property.

I hope this info helps with your holiday planning, Kate. Pop back if you have more questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
