Can you please elaborate on what items you can bring in a back pack into Disneyland? For example, can we carry our own bottled waters? Can we carry snack/food items like crackers or peanuts or applesauce? Can we bring homemade sandwiches & chips?

Hi, Elaine! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

We just returned from a visit to the Disneyland Resort and, let me tell you, our backpack was packed to the brim most days! You can bring all sorts of snacks and beverages into the parks. The only items that are prohibited are alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and coolers (or backpacks) larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. So feel free to bring along all the items you listed. If you are planning to have a picnic lunch, you might consider using one of the picnic tables located right outside Disneyland Park for a peaceful meal.

Some other items I like to carry in the parks include sunscreen, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, portable phone charger, and, if you are traveling with children, a change of clothes for them. Also, if you plan on going on any attractions where you will get wet, like Grizzly River Run or Splash Mountain, I recommend bringing along some ponchos so you won't be soaked the rest of the day.

I hope this helps! Have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
