Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

    Could you please describe to me each park's nighttime show? I don't usually get to see them because my children have sound sensitivity. Next week I have an opportunity for "me time".

    Hi Rochelle,

    Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question about Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment at Walt Disney World.  I am excited to help you plan your "me time" next week!  I think it's wonderful you are going to be able to experience some nighttime entertainment.  After seeing a nighttime show or two, you may even discover a way for your children to be able to enjoy them in the future by employing strategies such as sitting further away from the main area.

    First, I would like to tell you about Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom.  Disney Enchantment will be ending on April 2, 2023 so if you want to experience this show now is the time to do so.  This show is so much more than fireworks.  During the show, Cinderella Castle and Main Street, USA are Magically transformed with elaborate projections from some of our favorite movies and it is all set to music.  This show is truly immersive and it is hard for me not to get emotional whenever I watch.

    At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Fantasmic! has recently come back to the park.  Fantasmic! is located in an amphitheater and every seat has a great view of the show.  This show has lots of Disney characters, with Mickey Mouse the star of the show.  It has projections on water screens, fireworks, and water effects all set to music.  Fantasmic! is a classic and I am so excited to be able to experience it again. 

    Harmonious is another nighttime show and is located in EPCOT.  This show will be ending on April 2, 2023 so you are visiting just in time to see this one as well.  Harmonious occurs on the World Showcase Lagoon and illustrates how Disney music inspires and connects people all over the globe.  The show has fountains, lights, lasers, and pyrotechnics and is a sight and sound to behold.

    At Disney's Animal Kingdom, the nighttime entertainment is the Tree of Life Awakenings.  Because there are animals in this park, there are no loud noises which could disturb them.  Therefore, the Tree of Life Awakenings is a great show in which children who are sensitive to loud sounds can enjoy.  What I like about this show is that it occurs about every 10 minutes after dark so there is not much waiting around, which is ideal for the young ones.
