Can you please confirm this would work for genie plus and paid lightening lane? 7 am try to book genie plus slinky dog 7 am try to book rise of resistance via paid lightening lane Rope drop Minnie

    Hey there, hi there Kelly!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you've been studying up on Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane options in order to make the most of your next trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

As long as you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, your plan sounds like a good one. You'll be able to make your first Genie+ Lightning Lane selection for Slinky Dog Dash and purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at 7:00 AM. If you have two people in your party, one could handle the Genie+ selection while the other purchases the Individual Lightning Lane; otherwise, take care of Slinky Dog first. Since you will just be choosing the first available time and there is no payment to process, this selection will go really quickly. You should still be able to purchase a Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance after that. You'll get to be a little more selective with the paid option and choose a return time.

When you get to the park, you can do Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. It really helps to take advantage of the extra 30 minutes that Resort Guests get in the morning. Not only will you be able to enjoy that attraction, but you should be able to get at least one other big attraction in before the standby lines start having longer wait times.

If you aren't staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, your plan may need some adjusting. You'll still be able to book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane at 7:00 AM, but you'll have to wait until the park opens to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane, and by that time all of the spots for Rise of the Resistance may be booked. In which case, I would plan on heading there at rope drop if it's a "must do." You'll still probably have to wait for quite some time, but I rarely see the wait times go down throughout the day for that attraction.

Hope this helps. Mickey can't wait to see ya real soon!
