    Please clarify the approved dimensions for a cooler allowed into Disney World. I thought I saw two different sets of dimensions but now only find one and want to be sure. Also, our Disney agent specifically said it should be soft sided? Is this also true?

    Hi Gary,

    Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question.  I see you will be visiting during one of my favorite festivals, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!  I hope you have a chance to check it out during your visit and that you enjoy the topiaries, entertainment, and the Outdoor Kitchens as much as I do.

    The current Walt Disney Resort property rules specify that coolers cannot be larger than 24 inches long x 15 inches wide x 18 inches high.  In addition, loose ice or dry ice is not permitted in the cooler so you may want to use reusable ice packs to keep your items cold.  At this time there is not a requirement for the cooler to be soft sided.  However, from my own experience I have found it easier to handle a soft sided cooler inside the theme parks.  Keep in mind that if you do not wish to carry your cooler with you all day, there are Locker Rentals available in each theme park on a first-come first-served basis.
