Hi Shuk,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You must be counting the minutes until your Walt Disney World vacation!
The
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a sweet way to end your day after a visit to
Disney's Hollywood Studios. They have great burgers, sandwiches and salads and, of course, tons of ice cream treats, including the famous Kitchen Sink sundae.
Beaches & Cream is located in the Beach Club resort, one of several resorts on the shores of Crescent Lake between Hollywood Studios and
Epcot.
You have a few options to get there from Hollywood Studios:
- The Disney Skyliner: To use the new transportation in the sky option, you will board the Skyliner just outside the Hollywood Studios exit. You will transfer at the Caribbean Beach resort station and arrive at the International Gateway of Epcot, which is about a 5-minute walk from Beaches & Cream.
- The Friendship Boats: Board the water taxi at the dock outside Hollywood Studios, to your left as you exit. The boat will stop first at the Swan and Dolphin dock on its way to the dock at the Yacht and Beach Club, again a 5-minute or less walk from the restaurant.
- On foot: There's a wide, clearly marked pedestrian walkway from Hollywood Studios to the resorts on Crescent Lake. The path begins to your right as you exit the park.
My family usually chooses to walk when we are going from Hollywood Studios to Epcot or the Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club resorts. It should take you 20 to 25 minutes on foot. I have not traveled this exact route by Skyliner yet, but I have found the gondolas to be an efficient mode of transportation because they load continuously. I would estimate that it would take about the same amount of time to travel by Skyliner as on foot. The boats are more leisurely and may take as much as 45 minutes, including time you will wait to board.
I always like to allow at least an hour of travel time when I have advanced dining reservations. I'd rather not feel rushed or stressed about being late, and I like to have time to freshen up before taking my seat. So, if it were me, I would plan to leave Hollywood Studios no later than 8 p.m.
I hope that's helpful, Shuk. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as plan your vacation. Enjoy!
