Please advise if the Magic Kingdom THE PLAZA RESTAURANT is still a walk up establishment. Or did they go back to reservations? Thank you

Hello Larry! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My wife and I had Advanced Dining Reservation at The Plaza Restaurant for lunch on the final day of our Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend experience.

Most Table Service dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort accept "walk-up" Guests as long as there is room to accommodate, even if they have Advanced Dining Reservations.  Even in instances where a dining location is busy, many locations will allow you to wait for cancellations or space to become available, if you are willing to wait.

Having said that, The Plaza Restaurant is not Be Our Guest Restaurant in terms of popularity or required Advanced Dining Reservations (or potential hour long waits) and may be able to accommodate a "walk-up" dining experience in a relatively brief amount of time (despite being much smaller in size).

If you definitely want to experience a meal at The Plaza Restaurant, I recommend you make Advanced Dining Reservations to avoid a lengthy wait or disappointment.

Advanced Reservations may be made up until the planned timed for your dining experience, although Restaurants offering advance reservations charge a per- person cancellation fee for reservations cancelled after the designated cancellation period, or for no shows.

Reservations or cancelations may be made online, through your My Disney Experience Account or by contacting a Cast Member at (407)939-3463.

    Bon Appétit!
