Hello Barbara!
Thanks for sailing back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more wonderful questions! Dining onboard our Disney Cruises is one of my favorite things to do! My family and I love ending our exciting days in one of the beautifully themed restaurants for dinner. It's always so difficult saying "goodbye" to our Server and Assistant Server at the end of our voyages!
Your husband is absolutely allowed to wear his grey and black athletic shoes in each of the three
rotational dining restaurants scheduled for dinner each evening! However, if you are enjoying an unforgettable dinner at the adults-only restaurant, Palo, tennis shoes are on the list of items Disney Cruise Line asks Guests to please not wear while dining there. If you visit the page for
Palo on Disney Cruise Line's Website, you'll find a section called "Dress to Impress" which highlights the clothing recommendations for both men and women.
I wouldn't say the restaurants get very cold; however, I do find that I'm a little chilly in the restaurants at the beginning of dinner, but by the time dessert comes, I'm comfortable and often taking off my cardigan! With that being said, I recommend bringing a light sweater to wear or place over your shoulders if the restaurant starts off being a little chilly. You can always hang it on the back of your chair if you decide not to use it!
Barbara, it is always a pleasure answering your wonderful questions regarding your upcoming voyage! As always, don't hesitate to visit us again if you have any more!
