Welcome to planDisney, Tina! I'm excited to see you're heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth this week! I'm sure your dreams are filled with Mickey-shaped snacks and character greetings as you count down the final days until your vacation begins! As a big fan of park hopping, I'm happy to help you look into upgrading your ticket so you can explore more than one theme park on your visit!
Tina, if you've already purchased a one-day theme park ticket, the upgrade cost to add the
Park Hopper Option will depend on which park and date you selected originally and what the cost of the Park Hopper ticket is for the day you have selected. Typically, the upgrade cost ranges between $60 and $100, but this is subject to change. The best way to check the cost for your ticket upgrade would be to access your ticket in the
My Disney Experience Mobile app and follow the steps below to modify your ticket:
- Select the three horizontal lines at the bottom right-hand corner of the app
- Select the "My Tickets & Passes" tile at the top left
- Find your current ticket and see if you have an option to "modify ticket"
- Click on "modify ticket" and then follow the steps to select the Park Hopper; from here, you should see the cost of the upgrade and be able to finalize and pay for any changes you'd like to make to your ticket
Tina, if for any reason you are not able to modify your ticket on the mobile app, you can visit the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel or a
Guest Relations window to complete the upgrade. Keep in mind that since it is a one-day ticket, you will need to upgrade the ticket before you scan into the park for the day.
If you do end up modifying your ticket, I'd love to offer a few tips to make the most of your park-hopping itinerary! My family just completed a challenge to visit all four parks in one day; we started with Animal Kingdom at Early Entry since they were open first and we utilized
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to help us minimize our wait times throughout the day. We focused on choosing a few attractions at each park, knowing we would not be able to experience every single one. Lightning Lane helped us as we were able to experience 14 attractions across the four parks and end our day watching
Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom! We also relied on Disney resort transportation to help us get around - from Animal Kingdom, we took a bus to Hollywood Studios, then the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT, and finally the Disney Monorail to Magic Kingdom! It was a long, exhausting day, but we felt so great about all the magic we got to experience together!
Tina, I hope this helps! If you run into any issues upgrading your ticket, you can also reach out to a Cast Member by phone at the
Existing Tickets phone number for assistance. If you have any other questions before your visit, come see us again at

Magic Awaits,
