Can you please advise on the best room to request to be close to the main lobby/food court. We are coming with someone with a back problem and would like to be close to everything. Thank you

Hi, Lisa! Thank you for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I totally understand the need to stay close to the main facilities in a Disney Resort hotel, Lisa, as my mom also has a hip condition that always keeps me looking for the closest room to the main building.

Usually, you can choose a room type when you make a reservation, as some Disney Resort hotels divide their rooms into two categories. The Preferred rooms are close to the main buildings, while the Standard rooms are farther away. Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's All-Star Movies Resort are good examples of that situation.

Others, on the other hand, organize their offerings based on their views, like Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney's Beach Club Resort. Choosing the perfect room to request at those locations is a different task, but also a fun one!

Since our best advice would depend on the Disney Resort hotel you are aiming for, I'd suggest coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel after you've chosen your hotel. With a place in mind, we can certainly help you find the best rooms to request. While room preferences cannot be guaranteed, broad preferences like a ground floor room, for example, can often be accommodated. What do you think about that plan?

We hope to see you here again so that we can find a fantastic room selection for your upcoming vacation, Lisa!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
