Welcome back, Erynne!
From the happy haunts of Haunted Mansion Holiday to the seasonal treats and sweets to the Halloween Screams fireworks, September is one of my favorite months to be at the Disneyland Resort! There is so much to enjoy with
Halloween Time in full swing. I was also so happy to hear that some of the special entertainment for the
70th Anniversary would continue through spooky season, including Paint the Night! Truly, such a great time for a visit!
I am a dining package enthusiast as I love nighttime spectaculars and maximizing my time in the magic. The packages allow you to enjoy a meal with the bonus of preferred viewing for your favorite show, so you don't waste precious park minutes grabbing a spot early. Guests who purchase the
Plaza Inn Dining Package will also enjoy watching the
Paint the Night parade from a spot right at the top of Main Street U.S.A. in Town Square, directly across from the Disneyland Railroad station. I have enjoyed this location myself, as it has a great view as the parade makes the turn!
If you are looking for a similar experience for
Halloween Screams, it has just been announced that the
Happiest Haunts Guided Tour will include access to a reserved viewing area for the fireworks that evening. This tour is filled with pixie-dusted perks. The two-hour walking tour will take you through the resort, listening to Halloween tales specific to Disney experiences. On top of that, you'll receive a Lightning Lane for
Haunted Mansion Holiday, a collectible, limited-edition pin, and a special photo op with the Evil Witch animatronic from Snow White! This tour sounds like an absolute blast!
As you put the finishing touches on your plans, I highly recommend taking a peek at the
Halloween Foodie Guide for a tour through all the special treats offered during this season. I've got my eye on quite a few, from the Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte at Bengal Barbeque to the Jack-O'-Lantern Mickey Pumpkin Macaron at Jolly Holiday!
Erynne, I hope this has been helpful in your planning! We love talking about all things Disneyland, so if you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Happy haunting!
Tara
