I am platinum castaway member and travel with my 16 year old daughter who is platinum too. I am eligible for a dinner at Palo but don’t want to go alone or without her (which I know isn’t possible). Will they credit my stateroom the cost of Palo instead?

Ahoy there, Kristen! Being a member of the Castaway Club certainly has its privileges. As a fellow Platinum member, I also enjoy being able to book new itineraries, onboard activities, and Port Adventures earlier than others.

As you know, Pearl and Platinum Castaway Club members receive a complimentary dinner at the adult-exclusive restaurant Palo or Palo Steakhouse. Unfortunately, your stateroom account will not be credited if you decide not to take advantage of this benefit. You have a little time to think about it just in case you change your mind about having a solo dinner or finding a new friend to have dinner with since your advance booking window will open in a little under a month.

I like to take advantage of the Castaway Club discount in shops on the ship as well. Whether it's an ornament or a picture frame, I like to take a little piece of the magic home with me to remember my vacation.

Kristen, this is probably not the news you wanted to read, but I hope it helps you with your vacation planning. If you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney for help.

    Adventure is out there!
