Hi there, Cynthia!
Ahoy and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to “sea” that you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation planned! And since you will be embarking on a
Very Merrytime voyage, it will be the most perfect way to kick off the holiday season!
In addition to the festive activities and entertainment onboard, you will also get to experience one of my favorite onboard activities EVER – Pirate Night!! My boys always look forward to their Pirates League makeovers turning the little Mouseketeers I brought onboard with me into rough and tough, swashbuckling pirates who are ready to take on any enemies that try to board “The Mickey Boat”! The
Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party is always so much fun and ends with a spectacular firework show (weather permitting, of course)! With Halloween quickly approaching, NOW is the perfect time to gather your pirate garb so that you will be more than prepared when your voyage gets here! To answer your question, yes, Guests are permitted to bring onboard plastic swords and pirate hooks for use on Pirate Night, although I do recommend keeping those in your checked luggage rather than your carry-on luggage.
As you continue planning and preparing for your adventure on the high seas, make sure you have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded to your smartphone prior to getting onboard. While useful now to book onboard fun and Port Adventures, it will be incredibly useful once onboard to access a full schedule of onboard activities, entertainment, character greetings, menus and much more!
Wishing you a magical and memorable voyage, Cynthia! Please sail back by with any other questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
