Ahoy, Amie! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about sailing where magic meets the sea.
As a fellow
Platinum Castaway Club Member, I know that you are no stranger to sailing with Disney Cruise Line and are already well aware that one of the biggest perks of your membership level is getting an
advance booking window that opens 120 days prior to sail date. On the day that your advance booking window opens at midnight, you can search for available cabanas under the
Port Adventures on the scheduled day of your stop at
Disney Castaway Cay.
Unfortunately, there is no way to know ahead of time which Port Adventures are still available and that includes availability for both the Family Beach Cabanas and adult-only Serenity Bay Cabanas. Generally, the cabanas do sell out very quickly at both of
Disney’s island destinations, but the exact availability is going to vary for each specific sailing. Since you are a Platinum Castaway Club Member, the only guests who have an earlier advance booking window than you are concierge guests (130 days prior to sail date) and Pearl Castaway Club Members (123 days prior to sail date). So that gives you a much better chance of securing one of the cabanas than guests with a later advance booking window, but there is also the possibility that all of the cabanas have already been reserved before your advance booking window even opens. It just depends and can be different for every single cruise.
If you are not able to secure a cabana right when your advance booking window opens, then I recommend still checking back prior to embarkation day. There is always the possibility that one of the cabanas that was previously booked opens back up due to another guest’s cancellation. You can also check with the Port Adventures desk once you step onboard to see if there are any last minute cancellations that you may be able to grab.
I wish you the best of luck and hope you have an incredible time on the
Disney Treasure. If you have any other questions, then we are always here to help at planDisney. Happy sailing!
