Hi! We have plans to visit in Nov, but we won't come if Disney loosens the mask rules or lifts capacity restrictions. We feel so safe with the current protocols! Any updates on these? How close to our travel dates can we cancel a room only booking?

    Hi Megan,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your thoughtful question.  It sounds like you are planning a trip during The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort!  I am so impressed with how the "Disney Elves" have conjured up their special brand of Magic for the holiday season while maintaining their guiding principles of physical distancing, reduced contact, and enhanced cleaning.

I have good news for you Megan!  Due to the ever changing situation in the world right now, Walt Disney World has changed its cancellation policy through the end of this year to provide extra flexibility and allow you to Book With Confidence.  As detailed in the previous link you will see that if your plans should change you will be able to cancel or change your room reservation without any Disney-imposed fees up until the day of check in.

Currently Walt Disney World has a phased re-opening and any further procedure changes will be updated in this link for Returning to a World of Magic.  Another great place to find news about Walt Disney World, and your daily dose of Magic, is the Disney Parks Blog.  I enjoy reading the articles in the Disney Parks Blog on a regular basis.  I not only love hearing the latest news about the Disney Parks but I also often find fun and interesting stories such as this one about how Planning a Trip Can Boost Your Happiness.

Megan, I wish you the most Magical vacation ~ whenever the time is right for you.
