I have plans to visit Disneyland for the first time in July or August. I have so many questions. First : Should we go in July or August. Secondly we want to visit Disneyland and Universal studios. where should we go first and for how many days.

    Welcome, Manpreet!

It can be fun deciding when to visit the Disneyland Resort. If you happen to have an anniversary, birthday, or another special date this Summer, your vacation may be just the thing to help celebrate. The week of July 4th is a popular time to visit as guests celebrate US Independence Day. Attendance may decrease the latter half of August as schools start a new year of classes. Of course, the anticipated opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge this Summer has many guests excited to experience a galaxy far, far away! Watch the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news, including to find out when the official opening date will be announced.

Our family has enjoyed combining our Disneyland Resort vacations with visits to zoos, other theme parks, and various great Southern California destinations as well. We've appreciated experiencing a diversity of activities. My experience with other theme parks is that they tend to be great places to visit for one or two days, depending on the age and interests of the traveling party. For visiting the Disneyland Resort, I recommend stays of three to five days in order to experience as much as possible of the exciting entertainment, attractions, and dining offerings. The Disneyland Resort truly is the crown jewel of theme parks in the Western United States. Therefore, I generally recommend saving a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth for the last part of a vacation. That way, the vacation is more likely to end on a high note.

I hope you have a magical time, Manpreet!
