We have plans to stay on property using the Dining Plan. My in-laws are coming for a few days, but will not be staying in a Disney resort. Will we be able to add them to our dining reservations when we can make them in advance? How will that work?

Hello Sara!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I love using the Disney Dining Plan and having everything paid for ahead of time is really convenient.

You will absolutely be able to make dining reservations for your whole party, even though your in-laws are not on the Disney Dining Plan.  When your server comes to your table, at the restaurant, he/she will ask if you all are on the Disney Dining Plan.  Simply explain to them that some of your party is and some isn't and they will split up the bill accordingly.  It's very easy and the Cast Members are used to splitting the bill this way.

If you are looking for some dining recommendations, I suggest eating at 'Ohana.  'Ohana is located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and is so good.  We like it so much, we try to eat there twice while on vacation.  I hope this helps clear up some confusion for you.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me.  Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
