Hi, we have plans to stay at Disney Vero Beach May 17-19 2024. Will the beach restoration be completed by then?

    Hi there Abby,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a question about Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, it has me dreaming of the waves and sand along Florida’s Atlantic Treasure Coast. Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is one of my family's favorite places to visit - they love the turtle-related experiences offered at the resort.

Each year, Indian River County completes a dune and beach restoration and it usually takes just under a month to complete. The restoration must be completed in time for turtle-nesting season which starts at the beginning of April. Abby, I'm happy to report that the beach has re-opened and Guests are enjoying spending time on the shores of Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

While on the beach, I recommend visiting Tide's Water Sports and renting a kayak or a canoe (they also rent boogie boards in addition to equipment for water sports). Floating on the water feels so relaxing and it's so neat to view the resort from a different perspective!

Abby, I hope this information helps you in your vacation planning. If you have any other questions, please let me know!

    See ya real soon,
    Candace
