Hey there, Paxton. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Isn't Epcot great? I try to spend as much time as possible in that park while I am at Walt Disney World so I know just how you feel about the limited hours currently being offered. I went ahead and took a look at the
monthly park hours calendar and it seems like Epcot is set to open at 11:00 a.m. for the foreseeable future. However, park hours do get adjusted from time to time so it is best to check back closer to when you are wanting to visit.
Because Epcot has been opening closer to lunch time these days, I've actually been enjoying some of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks in the early morning hours and then hopping over to Epcot for a late lunch or an early dinner around The World Showcase. I'm not sure if you knew this or not but park hopping has officially returned to Walt Disney World since the start of this year and I am just thrilled. It is actually my preferred park touring method. You really can fit a lot of popular attractions in during the morning hours and then be able to enjoy Epcot at your leisure in the evenings. Even though
park hopping has returned, it does look a little bit different at the moment. Here is how it is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make a park pass reservation for the first theme park they are wishing to visit each day
- Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first
- Park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m. each day and continue until each park's closing
- Guests do not need to make additional park pass reservations for hopping the rest of the day
- Park hopping is subject to park capacity limitations at this time
I know that you really enjoy walking around Epcot in the morning, Paxton, but another really beautiful park is Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. There is nothing quite like seeing the
Tree of Life illuminated in the early morning glow. Also, I think the animals on the
Kilimanjaro Safaris are far more active in the morning rather than later in the day which is always fun.
Hopefully, we will be getting back to some normalcy very soon, but until then we will just have to enjoy Epcot into the evening hours for now. If you have any other planning questions, Paxton, I'd love for you to come back and ask me.
Have a great day!
