Welcome to planDisney! Sounds like you’re
counting down to your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
New Year’s Eve events have not been announced at this time. You may find any special events shared on
Disney Parks Blog in the days leading up to your visit, so keep checking there. I know in the past, the World Showcase in EPCOT has held parties in various pavilions so you could welcome the New Year when it arrived in that country.
In Magic Kingdom Park, previous years also featured DJs playing music throughout the park. There was also a special New Year’s fireworks show, Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks, which included a countdown to midnight with Mickey and his friends.
If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I recommend that you also check the activity guide during your stay. This guide can be found at the Front Desk and lists all the activities available at the Resort. It is possible that your Disney Resort may have New Year’s Eve activities or arts and crafts.
As I said, these are all events from past New Year’s Eves at Walt Disney World, so you’ll need to follow
Disney Parks Blog for future announcements. Don’t forget to make your
theme park reservations for New Year’s Eve, as I’m sure people are excited to welcome the New Year while in Walt Disney World!
