It’s never too early to talk about the most wonderful time of the year at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Welcome to planDisney, Steven! Let’s start planning!
You’ve already selected the time of year you want to visit (November/December), so we can check that item off your planning list. Next, you need to select where to stay. I recommend staying on property at one of the many hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection of hotels. There are resorts priced for just about any budget. In the value range, I recommend either Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Both are linked to the Disney Skyliner route which makes for quick transportation to some of the parks! I recommend Disney’s Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter in the moderate range. Finally, I recommend Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Riviera Resort, or Disney’s Yacht Club in the deluxe category. Regardless of which resort you select, all will be decorated for the holidays!
Now, let me recommend a few favorite holiday activities at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event at Magic Kingdom Park. It takes place on select evenings from the beginning of November through Christmas week! There is a special holiday-themed parade called Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade! Not to be outdone, Minnie hosts a nighttime spectacular called Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show! The characters will be dressed in their holiday finest and it even snows on Main Street, U.S.A.!
Another family favorite is the Christmas Tree Trail at the
Disney Springs shopping area! Each year the trees are themed to characters, movies, attractions, and many of our Disney favorites! The beautifully decorated trees would get even Scrooge McDuck in the holiday spirit!
If your family enjoys the traditional aspects of the holiday season, there is the sharing of the story of Christmas at the
Candlelight Processional at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The story of Christmas is told through a celebrity narrator along with a choir and orchestra! I love this event! It is the perfect way to celebrate the season.
Steven, hopefully, these recommendations give you a great place to get started with your planning. If you have any additional questions, please send them to us! And, Merry Christmas!
Happy planning!
