We have plans to come in a couple of weeks but unfortunately a member of our family had a medical issue and can no longer travel. If we wanted to postpone trip how far in advance can we change the dates on park tickets? More than a year?

Hi there Stephanie, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for sending your question our way. I'm sorry we're not chatting under better circumstances, and I sincerely hope your family member's health improves soon. Best wishes for a full recovery.

I do have good news about your tickets. The value paid for Walt Disney World theme park admission never expires, so you can redeem a wholly unused ticket anytime by upgrading it to present ticket prices. When you're ready to travel, you can modify your ticket dates in My Disney Experience. In the mobile app, click on Tickets and Passes on the home screen. Then, scroll through until you see a ticket you'd like to modify and tap on the Change Ticket icon to choose new dates and pay any price difference associated with the future trip. If the option to change your ticket doesn't appear, or if you no longer see your tickets in the mobile app, you must call Walt Disney World Reservations. Sometimes, tickets disappear from our view when they expire, but a Cast Member can still see them and alter them to fit your needs.

I hope this is helpful, Stephanie! While you're dreaming of your future vacation, be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog to keep up with all the excitement on the horizon for 2024 and beyond. My family was thrilled to hear about the summer opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Tiana is one of our favorite Disney Princesses, and we can't wait for her to make her theme park attraction debut.

Thanks again for stopping by planDisney. We'd be delighted to assist with your rescheduled trip, so don't hesitate to reach out when the time is right. Sending good vibes and pixie dust to your family, and we hope to see you soon.
