Are the plans still coming out around June? If so, how far in advance do they allow you to book? Our original date was going to be January/February however with covid-19, we’re a little weary and wanna try November 2021 instead. Should we wait to book?

Thanks for stopping back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Danielle. It’s always nice to help a fellow Louisianan plan a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! With the uncertainty of the current situation, many of us have found ourselves making changes to our future vacation plans.  The Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Resort hotels are currently closed and a reopening date has not yet been identified. Reservations for future vacations starting July 1, 2020 and later are currently available for booking. Rates for Disney Resort hotel stays in 2021 are not yet available, but they are historically released during the summer of the year prior. You can book a room-only reservation as far in advance as 500 days by calling (407) 560-2428. Once vacation packages are released, you can upgrade your room-only reservation to a vacation package.

November is a really wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World, with the parks being decked out in holiday splendor towards the middle of the month. Though vacations to Walt Disney World in the months of January and February typically can enjoy smaller crowds and shorter wait times. You can always book a reservation for January or February 2021, modifying the reservation if you decide you want to wait to visit in November 2021. I recommend that you discuss the reservation cancellation and modification policies with a Cast Member when making a booking.

Please stop back by if we can help you with any more of your vacation questions!
