Plans changed - now staying at Pop for 5 nights instead of AoA. Can't find much info on this hotel like which rooms are closest to front of hotel? What wing or theme should we ask for when I do online check-in? Any tips you can tell me- 2 adults/ 1 5yr old

Laura, no worries! I am going to tell you everything you need to know about the buildings at my favorite place to lay my head at Walt Disney World; Disney’s Pop Century Resort!

My family and I always stay in the preferred rooms. Those can be found in the 60’s buildings. They are right behind the main building which houses the front desk, gift shop, arcade, and food court. The bus stop is located right through the main building. You are nice and close to these important areas, as well as the Hippy Dippy Pool, Laundry facilities, and Petals Pool Bar.

If you did not want a preferred room, at check in you could request the next closest buildings. Those would be the 70’s and 60’s buildings. Keep in mind that is only a request and as hard as they try, the front desk may not be able to get you into those buildings.

The 80’s and 90’s buildings can be quite a walk at the end of a long day in the parks. I have a great tip for you if you do stay in those buildings. Once you leave the bus, walk around the parking lot using the sidewalk rather than going through the main building and walking through the 60’s and 70’s buildings. It is a much shorter walk, and you will be back home in no time!

Hoping you and your family have a magical day, Laura!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
