Hi Lauren! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so happy you reached out to us!
Theme park tickets to the
Walt Disney World Resort are nonrefundable and nontransferable. However, if you purchase
theme park tickets through the Walt Disney World Resort website and your plans change, you can usually change the dates of your tickets. Since prices for tickets fluctuate based on the dates you are visiting, if your new dates are more expensive, you are responsible for paying the difference. If your new dates are less expensive, no refunds will be given. This applies to theme park tickets specifically. You can find out more about the terms and conditions related to theme park tickets, hotel room-only bookings, and vacation packages by visiting the
Website Package Terms and Conditions page. Tickets purchased through a third party may have different conditions and you'd need to check directly with that third-party vendor for their policies regarding any future changes.
Speaking of changes, many exciting changes are coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in the future. If you are booking a
vacation package that begins on or after January 9, 2024, you will once again have the option to add on the fan-favorite
Disney Dining Plan, making your vacation feel a little bit more "all-inclusive." If you are purchasing date-based tickets for dates on or after January 9, 2024, you also won't have to worry about making
Theme Park Reservations! And I haven't even mentioned the brand-new additions coming soon like
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana in
EPCOT, and the completion of
EPCOT's multiyear transformation! There's a lot to look forward to at the Walt Disney World Resort, that's for sure!
Lauren, best wishes for planning your upcoming visit. If you have any other questions leading up to your vacation,
please don't hesitate to reach out! I'd be happy to help!
There's no telling how far you'll go,
Matt
