We are plannning a trip in May. And I've noticed that many people are going to a Fantasmic eatery? Just wondering what it is. My kids are 11,9,7. Should we consider doing this? Thanks

There is a Fantasmic Dining Experience that allows you to eat at Hollywood and Vine, The Brown Derby or Mama Melrose’s inside the Hollywood Studios park and then receive a ticket for seating at the Fantasmic show.

This will give you general seating (not a reserved seat) without having to wait in line. Bleacher seating is still first-come, first-served. Therefore, if you want choice seats ahead of the other diners, arrive early. You will want to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to show time at the Fantasmic Dining Experience entrance. Look for the sign next to Oscar’s Super Service near the front entrance.

There is no extra cost for the seating vouchers and you will need to have park admission. Call 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463) for a reservation at one of the above restaurants. You must request the Fantasmic Dining Experience and guarantee your reservation with a credit card.

Each restaurant offers a different fixed price dinner. The buffet at Hollywood and Vine is the least expensive option with adults approximately $24.99 and children (3-9) $11.99. Prices are always subject to change so please inquire about current costs before booking. Note however that adult beverages are not included.

If you are in Walt Disney World, when Fantasmic! offers a second later show, then I would recommend going to that show. You can wait in the less crowded general line rather than getting the Fantasmic Dining Experience.

Personally I enjoyed the Fantasmic Dining Experience. It was nice to have dinner and not have to rush to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater only to have to stand in line. I especially appreciated this convenience when traveling with a young child. Fantasmic! is a very popular (very fabulous) show.
